Jeera (Cumin) Rice

Begin by rinsing one cup of basmati rice thoroughly, ensuring it’s free from excess starch. In a pan, heat two tablespoons of ghee over medium heat. Transitioning to the aromatic phase, add a teaspoon of cumin seeds, allowing them to sizzle for a fragrant base. Next, gently stir in the washed rice, ensuring each grain is coated with the flavorful ghee and cumin mixture. Now, seamlessly pour in two cups of water and a pinch of salt, bringing the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and let it simmer until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Fluff the jeera rice with a fork, and it’s ready to serve!
